Poet and journalist William Bryant described autumn as the year’s last, loveliest smile. Though the heat remained in our area, as autumn arrived last week, I could sense the excitement in the soon-to-be crisp fall air!

In Kimmswick, we have much to anticipate each fall. The beauty of the Missouri landscape as it turns to bright hues of yellow, orange and red is truly a sight to see. Our minds turn to evening high school football games, marching bands, bonfires, apples and pumpkins. There’s something special about this season.

This fall, please be sure to mark your calendar for these amazing events:

  • Kimmswick Cruise. Board a narrated riverboat with bingo, card games and river-style music. The Gateway Arch Riverboat will bring you to Kimmswick, where you will have time to explore, shop, and join us for lunch. Current dates are set for October 5 and 12. You can find more information and purchase tickets here.
  • Witches Night Out. This spooktacular annual event is simply a can’t-miss! Unfortunately, if you don’t already have tickets, they are sold out. If you do, it’s time to start preparing those wonderful witchy costumes and dig out the broom. We can’t wait to see you on October 14.
  • Apple Butter Festival. Kimmswick’s largest annual event takes place on the last weekend of every October. Over 100,000 people will join us to celebrate all things apple butter. Explore Kimmswick and enjoy the 500-600 vendors that line the streets for this remarkable and delicious affair.

Of course, we welcome you to come to dine with us and shop our charming town any time (remember, of course, that we are closed on Mondays). Our food is hearty and homemade and our treats always delightful. We hope to see you soon. In the meantime, always remember that Dreams Really Do Come True.

All My Love,

~Mary
