The Memorial Day weekend is upon us, welcoming the official start to the summer vacation season, though the summer equinox remains a few weeks away. Over 41 Million Americans are expected to hit the road for a relaxing weekend of fun, food, family and friends.
Memorial Day is set aside to remember and honor those military personnel who died in service to their country. We are place great value on their sacrifice and are thankful for each individual who has given much to the nation.
Many folks celebrate by raising the flag, wearing poppies, participating in services or parades, and visiting the graves of fallen soldiers. There is certainly much to do in the St. Louis area.
Whatever you choose to do, most people are certain to celebrate Memorial Day with food, family and friends. Before you do, remember to take a look at my recent blog on food safety. Be sure to drop by The Blue Owl this week and pick up a delicious treat from our bakery case, ensuring the delight of all those at your weekend gatherings.
I wish you the most wonderful of holiday weekends! Celebrate safely and always remember that Dreams Really Do Come True!
All My Love,
~Mary
