Thanksgiving is in one week! Where will you be spending this special day? I hope it is with amazing family and lovely friends. I am, as always, so excited to get my family together and create a wonderful meal for all. How I love to cook for family!
We have been making pies and more pies. If you have yet to order your Thanksgiving dessert, then do make sure to call us as soon as possible, 636-464-3128. We are ready for all our out-of-towners that come visit us the day before Thanksgiving simply to pick up and transport dessert back home! How fun it is to be a part of someone’s holiday tradition.
Please note that we will be closed on Thanksgiving, but will reopen the day after with normal hours. If you have anyone coming in from out of town to visit you, I have to say that Kimmswick is the perfect place to come spend the day. The town will be busy, but not as crowded as the shopping malls. And here, you are guaranteed to find special and unique gifts for everyone on your shopping list!
Mark your calendars as one of our most precious events is coming up the weekend of December 6 – 8. It’s our Old Fashioned Christmas Festival! Out town is decked out in Christmas attire! We’ll have carolers, carriage rides, Santa and Mrs. Clause, and other holiday inspired activities. Luminaries light the streets into the evening; the shops will stay open until 9pm. And make sure to take part in The Kimmswick Cookie Walk is part of this special weekend; you will receive a Holiday Cookbook filled with our merchant’s favorite recipes, a holiday cookie at many of the area stores and restaurants, and a gift bag to store all your goodies. You are also invited to visit the Historic Burgess Howe House, which is a restored 1840’s log home. As well as, do stop by the Kimmswick Historical Society and learn the history of our river town. We are lucky to have an active society that is well versed in our rich history, truly interesting and fascinating information!
Don’t forget us for your holiday parties, we have so many amazing desserts to offer; our dessert buffet has gained much attention and praise from party guests, so please do give us a call to discuss one for you gathering. If you can’t make it to us, then maybe we can make it to you! If you are out of town, then visit our online shop! Many beautiful items to order here, I know the recipient will be more than pleased. We even offer some sugar-free items, I feel strongly about everyone being able to enjoy dessert!
