Wow!!! It is hard to believe that almost 30 years ago “From the Kitchen of Mary” was established. Two years later I would first set eyes on The Blue Owl Restaurant and know that one day, people would have to wait in line to get a table. Today, people do wait in line! What a blessing our community has been to us, not only our Kimmswick community, but the community that has gathered due to our many appearances on both local and national television shows; including Paula Deen, The Food Network, The Travel Channel, The Today Show – not to mention our Caramel Pecan Levee High Apple Pie being named as one of Oprah’s Favorites in the December 2011 issue of O Magazine!
So here we are, 30 years later, and so much has changed; if you are reading this then you know I am now a blogger. The Blue Owl continues to gain fans via our Facebook Fan and Twitter Pages. I even have my own Mary Hostetter Fan Page!!! Please do come join me so we can talk about recipes, food, family and fun!
Even with all the changes, there are a few things you can count on; first, The Blue Owl will always serve fresh homemade food and amazing desserts, second, as I have always known ~ Dreams Really Do Come True!
