This Sunday is Father’s Day! Be sure to make your reservations and bring Dad to the Blue Owl for a wonderful home cooked meal and a fabulous dessert. Afterwards, wander around and enjoy the Car Show with Dad, over 100 cars will be parked throughout the town. Proceeds from the Car Show entries will go to the Kimmswick Visitors Center.
My own Daddy is Precious. I recently spent ten days in Galveston, Texas to take care of him after his eye surgery. He is so loved! After I left to be back in time for the Strawberry Festival, a parade of people came in to help; my baby brother, Bobby and his wife, Melissa, my sister Linda, my brother Steve along with his wife Sandra! All of us pitching in to aid him back to health.
He is going to require another eye surgery soon, so please keep him in your prayers. My sister Jeannie will be traveling all the way from New Hampshire to be at his side! Such a wonderful dear family I have.
The most important thing my Daddy shared with all his children is his Faith. Growing up, church was a very important part of our lives. I have so many other positive memories as well, he was always smiling with a happy-go-lucky attitude. He worked hard to provide for his family, which allowed my mother to be an at home mom (by the way, my mom was the one that did all the plumbing and hammering at our house!).
Speaking of wonderful fathers, my Jerry is also an amazing dad; he is a perfect example to all our children and grandchildren – and as a husband, there is no other man like him. My girls have known Jerry since 1985, we dated for 15 years before we married. At our wedding all the children were toasting us; they were so excited that we finally tied the knot!
Happy Fathers Day to all the Daddies our there! To my own Daddy I would like to say, “Thank you for teaching me that Dreams Really Do Come True!”
All my love
