“Spring being a tough act to follow, God created June.” (Al Bernstein)

It has simply been a delightful spring in Kimmswick! We have enjoyed visits from both old and new friends. People from all over the area have been stopping by to see the celebratory cake for St. Louis’s 250th Birthday.  Many mothers and grandmothers joined their families around our tables for Mothers Day, and we enjoyed our first Kids Karaoke and two Girlfriends Day Out events.

June has arrived, bringing with it a flurry of activity. You’ll want to get out your calendars and save these dates!

Strawberry lovers rejoice, as the Strawberry Festival will take place this weekend. Adults and children will be thrilled with music, arts & crafts, horse-drawn carriage rides, pony rides, a petting zoo, and more. Of course, your favorite strawberry treats will abound. You can find out everything you need to know about the Strawberry Festival here.

The next weekend looks to be a very exciting one! Kimmswick will be going pink during Shop for the Cure, June 12-15. Participating local shops and restaurants will be donating a portion of their proceeds to breast cancer research. On June 13, we will hold our next Kids Karaoke from 6 to 8pm at the Blue Owl Sweet Shoppe. Your little ones will have such great fun with the DJ on the patio. The Blue Owl remains open until 8pm that evening, so come have dinner, dessert, and drinks with us. We’ll wrap up that weekend with the Father’s Day Car Show on Sunday, June 15th. Bring dad out to enjoy great food and great cars!

June ends with the Kimmswick Daylily Sale. You will be able to select from a wide variety of beautiful daylilies, and support the Kimmswick Visitor Center.

As you can see, we have much to offer this month. Of course, we are also here for your dining pleasure every day except Monday, when the town of Kimmswick takes a much-need weekly rest. I look forward to seeing you soon!

Oh! In all of your summer fun, always remember that “Dreams Really Do Come True!”

All my love,
